Troy University's Departmet of World Languages and Cultures recently welcomed two students into Sigma Delta Pi, the national collegiate Hispanic honor society. Sigma Delta Pi was founded in 1919 to recognize excellence in the study of the Spanish language, literature and cultures. The students were inducted during a ceremony on April 4.

Troy University's Department of Theater and Dance recently welcomed 20 students into the Eta Sigma Chapter of Alpha Psi Omega, the national honor society for theater. Alpha Psi Omega's purpose is to foster a thriving community of passionate theatre practitioners and scholars, promoting creativity, collaboration and leadership within collegiate theatre programs.

Troy University inducted 20 students into Beta Gamma Sigma during the Sorrell College of Business honors luncheon in April. Founded in 1913, Beta Gamma Sigma is the international business honor society for AACSB-accredited schools, which are the top 5% of business school programs around the world.

Troy University is proud to recognize the inductees of the National Society of Leadership and Succes. This is the charter group of members into the TROY chapter of the NSLS. The NSLS is the nation's largest leadership honor society. Students are selected by their college for membership based on either academic standing or leadership potential. Candidacy is a nationally recognized achievement of honorable distinction.

The following people recently were initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines.

New members were recently inducted into the Troy University chapter of the SALUTE Veterans National Honor Society.

Troy University's History and Political Science Department at the Dothan Campus recently welcomed three students into the Iota Mu Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, the international honor society for history.
