Troy University is pleased to recognize students who completed the requirements for graduation during the Fall Semester and Term 2 of the 2022/2023 academic year. The Fall Semester includes graduates from the Troy, Ala., campus. Term 2 graduates include students at TROY's campuses in Dothan, Phenix City and Montgomery, Ala., along with teaching sites outside of Alabama and online.

Troy University School of Nursing students will now have greater opportunities with the launch of the Nursing Student Apprenticeship Program. Twenty-eight students joined the inaugural class of the program during a ceremony on Jan. 10 on the Troy campus. The apprenticeship program is a two-year program that will provide on-the-job training for nursing students while getting paid for clinical time.

Full-time undergraduate students who are registered for at least 12 semester hours and who have a grade point average of at least 3.65 qualify for the Provost's List. Term 2 includes students at TROY's campuses in Dothan, Phenix City and Montgomery, Ala., along with locations outside of Alabama and online.

Troy University is proud to recognize students who were named members of "The 87". The 87, formerly Who's Who, recognizes juniors, seniors and graduate students who have excelled in campus leadership and in their academic area.

Troy University students voted to select five women and five men to represent the student body as the Homecoming Court during TROY's homecoming game on Oct. 15.

More than 175 Troy University students studied around the world during the spring and summer semesters in 2022. Students studied in various programs on four continents in nearly 20 different countries to earn academic credit as well gain international awareness.

Troy University is pleased to recognize new students who have completed IMPACT orientation and enrolled in classes for the Fall 2022 semester.

Troy University is proud to recognize students who completed the Pathfinder program. The Pathfinder Program is a collaborative partnership between Career Services and Academic Advising designed to help students feel confident in their major and career path. Students who complete the program must have taken TROY 1102: Major Exploration & Planning, completed the Focus2 /Career Coach Assessment, and scheduled a meeting with their Pathfinder Advisor and declare their new major.

The Honors Convocation was held on Friday, April 22, at the Dothan Campus. Dr. Don Jeffrey, Dothan Campus Vice Chancellor, gave the welcome address, and the event was preceeded by a reception for the honorees and their guests.

Troy University's Department of Theatre and Dance recently performed Newsies. A large cast students performed "Newsies', based on the 1992 Disney hit musical. The spring show was presented March. 3-6 in Claudia Crosby Theater.

Fourteen students have been chosen to serve as the 2021 IMPACT Leaders at Troy University.

Troy University recently named 13 students as Social Media Ambassadors for the 2021-2022 school year. The ambassadors help the university's social media accounts by developing ideas, creating content, peforming acount takeovers, and other things to promote the university through Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Tik Tok.

The Hydrographic Society of America recently awarded scholarships to two Troy University students. Students Cameron Morris of Chatom, Alabama, and Phillip "Scott" Dowdy of Hokes Bluff, Alabama, were the recipients. The scholarships are awarded to full-time students seeking degrees in hydrographic surveying, ocean mapping, geomatics, ocean sciences, geographic information system (GIS), ocean engineering or electrical engineering. Morris and Dowdy each received a scholarship of $1,000 from the Southeast Chapter of THSOA

More than 30 members of Troy University's Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity will walk nearly 130 miles from the Troy Campus to Panama City Beach, Fla., in support of wounded veterans.

On April 22, the Dothan Campus Sorrell College of Business Rotaract Club participated with the Dothan Campus Earth Day activities.

These students were the winners of the Troy University Student Research Conference. The conference took place in April.

Troy University inducted 20 students into Beta Gamma Sigma during the Sorrell College of Business honors luncheon in April. Founded in 1913, Beta Gamma Sigma is the international business honor society for AACSB-accredited schools, which are the top 5% of business school programs around the world.
