Troy University students voted to select five women and five men to represent the student body as the Homecoming Court during TROY's homecoming game on Oct. 7.

Troy University is proud to recognize students who were named members of "The 87". The 87, formerly Who's Who, recognizes juniors, seniors and graduate students who have excelled in campus leadership and in their academic area.

Troy University's Department of Theatre and Dance opened the 2025-2026 production season with William Shakespeare's romantic comedy, "Twelfth Night". Set in 1920s New Orleans, "Twelfth Night" follows twins separated by a shipwreck. Viola disguises herself as a man serving Duke Orsino, who loves Olivia. But Olivia falls for Viola's disguise, and Sebastian's surprise arrival creates chaos in this tale of mistaken identity. The show ran October 10-18 in the Trojan Center Theater.

Troy University is pleased to announce students who have been named to the Provost's List for Term 1 of the 2025-2026 academic year. Full-time undergraduate students who are registered for 12 semester hours and who have a grade point average of at least 3.65 qualify for the Provost's List. Term 1 includes students at TROY's campuses in Dothan and Montgomery, Ala., along with teaching sites outside of Alabama and online.

Through leadership development, international study opportunities and specialized coursework, students gain the skills and perspective needed to succeed in graduate studies, professional careers and beyond.

Troy University is pleased to recognize new students who have completed IMPACT orientation and enrolled in classes for the Fall 2025 semester.

The Troy University Sorrell College of Business and School of Accountancy celebrated Accountancy Day on September 18. The ceremony honored students as well as provided scholarships for students in the program.

The Spring Semester includes graduates from the Troy, Ala., campus. Term 4 graduates include students at TROY's campuses in Dothan, Phenix City and Montgomery, Ala., along with teaching sites outside of Alabama and online.

Fourteen students have been chosen to serve as the 2025 IMPACT Leaders at Troy University.

Troy University recognized students for outstanding achievements in academics, leadership and service during the College of Education Honors Convocation on April 24 at the Troy Campus.

Troy University is pleased to recognize students who will serve on the Student Government Association Executive Branch in the 2025-26 school year following an election at the Troy Campus.

Troy University's Departmet of World Languages and Cultures recently welcomed two students into Sigma Delta Pi, the national collegiate Hispanic honor society. Sigma Delta Pi was founded in 1919 to recognize excellence in the study of the Spanish language, literature and cultures. The students were inducted during a ceremony on April 4.

The Hall School of Journalism and Communication netted 6 awards during the Southeastern Jounalism Conference's 2024 Best of the South Competition. The compettion is held annually and this year Troy was the host of the conference.

More than 200 Troy University students studied around the world during the 2022-23 school year. Students studied in various programs on 5 continents in nearly 20 different countries to earn academic credit as well gain international awareness.

Troy University School of Nursing students will now have greater opportunities with the launch of the Nursing Student Apprenticeship Program. Twenty-eight students joined the inaugural class of the program during a ceremony on Jan. 10 on the Troy campus. The apprenticeship program is a two-year program that will provide on-the-job training for nursing students while getting paid for clinical time.
