A group of Troy University students is in Pietrasanta, Italy, for the first Danza in Arte a Pietrasanta (DAP) Festival, a unique international festival of dance and visual arts that takes place June 18-July 1.

Troy University's Department of Theatre and Dance attended the Region IV conference of the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival (KCACTF) in Statesboro, Ga. After the week of events, Troy University students were singled out for awards and recognition.

Troy University dance students recently performed at the Alabama Dance Festival. Students performed seven pieces in the annual New Works Concert, which offers emerging choreographers the chance to present their work in a professional performance. While attending the festival, students auditioned for multiple summer programs across the nation, including professional companies such as Joffrey Jazz, Contra-Tiempo, Dance Theatre of Harlem, American Dance Festival and Jacob's Pillow, resulting in multitude of scholarship opportunities.
