Troy University is proud to recognize students who were named members of "The 87". The 87, formerly Who's Who, recognizes juniors, seniors and graduate students who have excelled in campus leadership and in their academic area.

TROY Theatre and Dance presents "Medea"

Troy University's Department of Theatre and Dance recently performed Medea. About 40 students perfromed "Medea," an ancient Greek tragedy written by Euripides that tells the story of Jason, a Greek hero and leader of the Argonauts, and Medea, daughter of King Aeetes of Colchis, granddaughter of the sun god Helios and a powerful sorceress. The fall show was presented Oct. 21-27 in the Trojan Center Theater.

Troy University is pleased to announce students who have been named to the Provost's List for Term 1 of the 2021-2022 academic year. Full-time undergraduate students who are registered for 12 semester hours and who have a grade point average of at least 3.65 qualify for the Provost's List. Career Services recognizes "Career Ready" Students

Troy University's Office of Career Services in the John. W Scmidt Center for Student Success is proud to recognize students who completed the Career Ready program. Students who take part in the program must complete two out of three options. They can choose to do a Resume Review by career services, attend a career fair, or complete a mock interview with Career Serices.

Troy University students complete Peace Corps Prep program

Troy University is proud to recognize students who completed the Peace Corps Prep program. Students in the program must complete 18 hours of academic credit, professional development, and 50 service hours through Troy's Civic Engagement program. Upon completion of the program, the students receive a certificate from the Peace Corps as well as a competitive edge when applying for Peace Corps service.

Troy University's journalists net 12 awards at SEJC's Best of the South

The Hall School of Journalism and Communication netted 12 awards during the Southeastern Jounalism Conference's 2021 Best of the South Competition. Despite quarantines, shutdowns and finding a new way of getting their jobs done, Troy students captured the awards competition from 27 other schools. As well as individual awards, Troy Public Radio's "Talk of Troy" won second place for Best Radio Program, while Troy TrojanVision won second place for Best College TV Station and third place for Best Video News Program.

Troy University students win ADDY Awards

Troy University's Art and Design Department won 16 Awards in the American Advertising Awards Competition this year. Troy University announced the students who were awarded during a ceremony in February. This competition is held every year by the American Advertising Federation, which is the oldest national advertising trade association in the United States.

Hydrographic Society of America awards scholarships to TROY students

The Hydrographic Society of America recently awarded scholarships to two Troy University students. Students Cameron Morris of Chatom, Alabama, and Phillip "Scott" Dowdy of Hokes Bluff, Alabama, were the recipients. The scholarships are awarded to full-time students seeking degrees in hydrographic surveying, ocean mapping, geomatics, ocean sciences, geographic information system (GIS), ocean engineering or electrical engineering. Morris and Dowdy each received a scholarship of $1,000 from the Southeast Chapter of THSOA
